Amy Ramirez

My father was the first to introduce me to TCU, often proudly wearing its merchandise. As an immigrant who never advanced beyond elementary school and had to start working at a young age, he frequently did remodeling jobs at or near TCU, all the while dreaming of experiencing college life. He passed that dream on to me, even though I doubted it could ever come true. I'm profoundly grateful that he also instilled the value of hard work in me, for it is through his legacy of perseverance that I have realized my dream, fulfilling something deeply cherished by my family and myself.

I intend to pursue graduate studies with the goal of becoming a child psychologist, finding purpose in supporting and guiding children through some of the most challenging times in their lives.
