I chose TCU because I felt like I belonged here. Every faculty member made me feel welcome, and every student, both current and prospective, was friendly. During the Chancellor's Scholars Weekend, more people said hello and introduced themselves to me than all the other college tours I attended combined. I remember saying to my parents on the car ride home that I hoped they would pick me. That feeling I had is what made me decide that TCU is where I want to be.

I plan to attend medical school on my path to becoming an ophthalmologist. I've always had trouble with my own eyes, but I had surgery to fix it in the summer of 2020, and it opened up a new world for me to see (both literally and figuratively). It inspired me to become an eye surgeon because I know how it feels to live with eye issues, and I know how much surgery changed my life. I want to help others in the same way.
