Joel Umana

I chose TCU because of the great mix of academics, community, and college athletics. I was born in Texas, so TCU was always on my radar, but when I visited, it blew me away. All the students, faculty, and staff make up a community that you cannot find anywhere else. The university provides endless opportunities for students no matter what field they are in.

My plans after graduation consist of going to medical school and hopefully becoming a surgeon. I want to specialize in general surgery, and I hope to do medical missions someday in foreign countries.
