Why I Chose TCU:

I am blessed to have chosen to attend TCU. Firstly, I fell in love with the pretty campus and fantastic facilities. Mainly, I enjoy the small-size university where I can connect with others in the community. Secondly, being a first-gen college student is challenging; fortunately, I knew that TRiO SSS and McNair Scholar programs are offered at TCU, which will help me prepare for and support my college journey. The programs are the perfect vehicle to help me adapt faster and be successful in college. Lastly, TCU’s mission convinced me to choose TCU as my home. I believe TCU will allow me to grow into who I seek to become. In addition, TCU is a school where everyone makes a great effort to be inclusive. With that, I can sharpen myself as a good leader, immerse myself in the different cultures worldwide, and become a more well-rounded student. With all that, I believe I will receive a good education and many great experiences at TCU. And ultimately, I could dedicate myself to paying it forward to the community.

Plans After Graduation:

After graduation, I will continue my educational journey by applying to grad school in Higher Education. My goal is to become a future college administrator. It would allow me to foster positive effects on the community and encourage and motivate other students who are facing similar challenges as I have. I want to be a valuable source for first-gen college students and a mentor for their educational journeys. I believe life-long learning and service are the keys to helping students have the same opportunities I was provided.
