Amelia Heimerman

Initially, I planned on attending a university closer to home, but I fell in love with TCU. The campus was beautiful, and the students were friendly, but more importantly, I felt like TCU truly wanted me to be a part of the Horned Frog family. TCU creates a perfect mix of two elements I sincerely appreciate in a university: passionate school spirit for our well-known D1 athletics and small class sizes that allow for individualized attention from professors. TCU truly cares about enhancing the student experience by providing various enjoyable, on-campus activities, including petting zoos, an on-campus farmers market, live music, and inflatable slides. I could not be more proud to call TCU my home away from home!

Before graduating, I hope to be accepted into TCU's 5-year combined BS/MS Dietetics program to begin working on my master’s degree while finishing my undergraduate studies. Once I graduate with my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from TCU, I hope to pass the registered dietitian exam to begin working in a clinical setting. My ultimate goal is to open my private practice as a registered dietitian and form one-on-one relationships with my clients.
