Why I Chose TCU:

Having moved around nearly ten times both nationally and internationally, I made it a priority to select a university that would grant me the sense of community that I had been longing for my whole life. After touring the campus and meeting faculty members, I immediately knew that TCU was the home for me. The pillars of passion, pride, and spirit can be found in all that TCU does. I believe that TCU’s mission statement perfectly embodies who every person should strive to be: ethical leaders and responsible citizens in the global community. I am grateful to be a part of a community who aspires to create positive change in the world, and for that reason, I am deeply grateful for the leadership that I will learn throughout my time at TCU.

Plans After Graduation:

After graduation, I intend on attending law school and pursuing a career as a trial attorney in the field of civil rights or immigration. Growing up Guatemalan-American, I was exposed to many injustices. As I grew older, I knew I had a calling, if not a destiny, to be a voice for those that are often silenced. By analyzing critical issues that affect everyday people's lives at TCU, I will advance my skills of dedication and advocacy and garner a list of abilities that will later assist me in the study of law and equity.
